Watching Live Footy

At some stage this week, the AFL are expected to announce when matches will resume and make public the fixture for the remainder of the 2020 season.

It’s guaranteed that we won’t be able to attend matches initially or most likely at all for the the next few months. That got me thinking about how to watch the games with the people that I usually sit with at the footy?

I’ve already sent out an e-mail suggesting that we get together over Zoom to watch the next game together. I then checked and found that the free plan allows only 40 minutes of viewing when a Zoom meeting contains more than 2 people. There are 4 or 5 of us so we could each host a quarter which will work however, that could mean that there is less discussion during the breaks.

What ways will others use to view the footy with their friends when you can’t be in the same room together? Let us know your ideas and how you plan to watch the first game back in “Round 2”.
